Actually I can't figure out if there is a possible brick of devices if reverting back but lets comment on it before it is too late.Look at the TP-LINK website:Last firmware says:'This firmware cannot be downgraded to previous version. If your firmware version is 110825, please upgrade 111130 first then upgrade this version 120320.

Or your device can be damaged.' This is the third u-boot replacement they make in their firmwares. Reading such comments from them makes me figure out that u-boot updates are incompatible with different firmwares in the builds. Nobody from developer team confirmed or rejected this as a possible problem. However, a possible problem may appear only if you decide to go back to factory firmware in case you don't like dd-wrt. If you just flash dd-wrt and stay with it, everything would be fine.chechoDD-WRT GuruJoined: 27 Feb 2007Posts: 527Location: BulgariaPosted: Sat Aug 25, 2012 14:15 Post subject:Well, I decided to risk. I upgraded a piece of TL-WR740N v4 to latest factory firmware, then I upgraded it to dd-wrt and reverted back using our old webrevert.
Everything seems fine and working.debkol35DD-WRT NoviceJoined: 25 Aug 2012Posts: 5Posted: Sat Aug 25, 2012 14:51 Post subject:Thank u bro for the info.
